Post net is used by postal services of the United States. UPC –E, this is compressed version of the UPC code for small products.

Then there are alpha numeric barcodes, which are knows as code 128, code 39, and 93. The code 128 has high density, reliability and is very capable code, used world wide. Code 39, is general purpose code, which is also used widely in the world. Code 93, compact code, is closely related to code 39. LOGMARS is a code used by United States government and is same as code 39.  The next category is code is 2 dimensional codes. These codes are used when large data has to be encoded.  Data matrix 2 dimensional code has fixed length and is used for small codes making.
